It is very important to change your SmarterMail host name. Failure to do will result in your e-mail server not working properly.
1. Login to SmarterMail
2. Select
Settings -> General Settings
3. Select the
Server Info tab.
4. Under
Hostname, replace the existing text with your Fully Qualified Domain Name for the mail server. We recommend
mail.<PutYourDomainNameHereDontJustCopyAndPasteThis>.com. For instance, we would be mail.activevps.com. Once that is complete, hit
Save and you are all set.
